Automated time and attendance solutions from Mitrefinch Australia have been adopted by Eaton Electric Systems, a leading manufacturer of power distribution equipment, electrical control products and advanced industrial automation solutions.
A growing market and expanding workforce prompted the company to look for new time and attendance solutions in early 2002 that could accommodate the evolving needs of the company.
Eaton Group's IT Manager, Ian Chidgey explains: "Although our old computerised system had previously met our needs it was becoming increasingly obvious that it was not being upgraded or updated to the extent of competing systems on the market. We also needed a solution that could readily integrate with our security system at some stage in the future."
Eaton invited Mitrefinch Australia to demonstrate their time and attendance systems, and after evaluating a range of other products available, Mr Chidgey says it was clear that Mitrefinch’s systems were as technically advanced as the other products, yet more cost effective.
Mitrefinch time and attendance solutions are an important tool for Eatons' Payroll Department, providing a wealth of employee attendance information and interfacing with their MicrOpay payroll application at the click of a mouse.
In addition, Eaton was able to make further administrative savings by choosing to use proximity cards instead of home grown ID cards.
Eaton Group’s Payroll Manager, Stacey Barton has been working with time and attendance systems for a number of years. She says that she wanted a system that was easy to use on a day to day basis.
“Mitrefinch's TMS has proved to be exactly that, the system requires minimal training and provides accurate information as and when I need it," she says.
She adds that “staff have also taken to the system as it is much easier to use than our previous application and it provides them with access to their personal information at the clocking terminals."
Eaton plan to take full advantage of the time and attendance solutions offered by Mitrefinch Australia by incorporating the system’s Access Control functionality, providing the company with a comprehensive workforce management and security solution to further drive their business.
