Underground communication solutions

UNDERGROUND communications solution-provider Mine Site Technologies (MST) will be on stand 1039 at the 2006 Goldfields Mining Expo (GME) in Kalgoorlie 24 to 26 October.

The company will showcase a solution that allows many communication requirements to converge onto a single backbone, such as video, voice, and vehicle diagnostics.

The company’s technologies include taking a mine’s WLAN seamlessly underground, enabling a single communication infrastructure to provide a range of high data applications; an Integrated Communications Cap Lamp; an ultra-low frequency paging and emergency warning; a leaky feeder; a remote blast initiation system; and a tagging system for underground applications.
