MILSOM Hoists (Stand 1816) will introduce QMAN visitors to its new Shmaltz series of large area vacuum grippers for use in materials handling.
The new series builds on the modular system of the successful VacuGrip FX 35 series, making it possible for users to build their own specific vacuum-gripper system from standard parts or order direct from the manufacturer.
The systems include a vacuum generator (multi-stage ejector SEM), manometer, basic frame, aluminium cover with mounting flange for the robot or handling device and a foam suction mat.
The modular design makes it possible to combine several large area grippers to form a gripper system to match a specific handling task.
The series comes in two versions: the SV and the SW. The VacuGrip FX SV offers new diaphragm technology which features apertures that close when not in contact with the item being handled, offering maximum holding force with minimum pressure.
The VacuGrip FX SW operates with flow resistors ensuring that holding force increases as more of the gripper surface is in contact with the item being handled, making light work of handling products with uneven surfaces.
The company will also provide information on its entire range of chain hoists, crane systems, sheet lifters, trolleys, robots, mechanical grippers and hoists.
