Palletising and Packing Processing
Speed and efficiency are major factors in today's manufacturing environment. To realise a fast and efficient manufacturing process, many factors need to be considered.
Being able to attain a high production throughput requires the same throughput on the palletising or packing process. Systems that palletise one or two boxes at a time can often not be able to keep up to the speed of the manufacturing process. Handling a layer at a time greatly improves throughput.
Vacuum Palletising and Depalletising Gripper Systems
Using an array of suction pads with integrated shut off valves, a vacuum chamber distribution system, and a centralised vacuum generator, the gripper head is capable of handling large and heavy cardboard boxes like those found holding many beverage products like beer and soft drink.
With a layer capacity of 500kg, and a fast activation/deactivation time, the throughput could reach levels of up to 120 tonnes per hour.
SPZ Layer Gripper
Changing the suction pad array to ones suitable for low temperatures, the SPZ Layer Gripper becomes a perfect component in a system for depalletising boxes coming out of cool storage. IP65 protection rating and temperatures down to 28ºC are possible.
