The new TURBO range of pad printing machines from Kent are easy to operate, have inbuilt cleaning features and a larger pad cleaning platform that does not increase the overall footprint of the machine. Pad printing machines are available from Milford Astor .
Kent TURBO range of machines can be used to print top quality promotional or industrial products like golf balls, watch faces, pens, plastic mouldings or any surface which is flat or irregular.
According to Milford Astor, distributors of Kent machines and consumables, cleaning the pad is critical for optimum performance. Pad cleaning ensures no contamination when it picks up the ink for the next print. When using silicon inks, small pieces of silicon or other contaminates like dust can stay on the pad after printing. Having a machine with automatic pad cleaning ensures that the next print is perfect.
The TURBO range has the option of automatic pad cleaning. Users need to adjust the cleaning cycle so that the machine automatically cleans as frequently as is required.
Another feature is the newly developed steel ring ink cup. This latest design provides superior performance and durability with up to 4 times the life of a ceramic cup. In addition, a ‘pad dwell’ can be programmed in the machine to set the optimum contact time between ink and pad to produce sharp images.
The TURBO range of pad printing machines has space saving features. Most machines have the cleaning platform in front of the printing plate, which means the pad carriage stroke has to be longer, increasing the cycle time and limiting the area for cleaning. On the TURBO range, the cleaning platform is tucked underneath the printing plate.
