The Aquadens, available from Micron Scientific , is an automated, on-line bulk density and moisture monitoring system for dry-flow processes. The AquaDens monitoring system extracts a unit volume of product directly from the product stream, where changes in bulk density and moisture occur. Measured sample is discharged back into the process stream and has a process cycle of less than one minute. Readings are not affected by changes in temperature or production rate. The AquaDens monitoring system can display accurate bulk density and moisture measurement in a variety of operating conditions.
By measuring bulk density and moisture in cereal, snack food, pet food, gypsum, metal powder, fertiliser, grain, plastic, and dry flowing product manufacturing process, the Aquadens monitoring system eliminates the need to take hand samples, reducing product waste caused by off-spec throwaway and ‘sell by weight/dispense by volume” issues and reducing packaging and energy costs. The Reliadens, which only measures bulk density is also available. Both products are manufactured by III Sigma.
