Turck has added new stainless steel front face sensors to its line of harsh duty sensors. These durable sensors are designed to withstand physical abuse, making them well suited for automotive and many additional industrial applications.
The new sensors use one-piece stainless steel construction for the barrel and sensing face, delivering an IP 68 and IP 69K protection rating against moisture and fluid ingress. This design also prevents corrosion and allows the sensors to be used in areas where oil, lubricants and chemical washdowns occur, such as food and beverage applications.
The sensors are available in 12, 18 and 30 mm barrels and feature a 3-wire DC quick disconnect.
With their rugged construction, these sensors are ideal replacements for sensors made with alternative face material, like plastic, that cannot withstand harsh environmental abuse.
