TURCK, represented in Australia by Micromax , has added a 3mm diameter inductive sensor to its line of miniature picoprox sensors.
The Bi 1-EH03 sensor offers a 1mm sensing range on mild steel without the need for an in-line amplifier. The LED located near the cable entry of the sensor enables the user to confirm that the appropriate operation is in progress. The sensor is suitable for applications that require small sensors to fit in tight areas such as those found in the metal stamping industry.
The sensors have a smooth, stainless steel barrel, with 2m of PUR potted-in cable for increased durability in applications where cutting coolants and other harsh chemicals are present. In addition to the standard cable version, Turck can mould standard M8 picofast and M12 eurofast connectors to the cable in varying lengths for easy installation.
The three-wire, 10V-30V dc sensors have integral circuitry that protects against wire-break and reverse polarity. They are available with either a PNP (sourcing) or NPN (sinking) TTL compatible output. The sensors are designed for use in industrial environments with a temperature rating of -25° to 70°C and a protection rating of IP 67.
