Micromax has recently announced they will stock the Banner R58B Series Expert Registration Mark Sensor, the latest addition to the company’s line of registration mark sensors.
The Banner R58B Series Registration Mark Sensor provides the same high-performance detection and color contrast sensitivity of the R58E, in addition to a simplified TEACH process.
TEACH is performed quickly via a single click on the TEACH push button on the sensor, or via remote input. TEACH allows the registration mark sensor to “learn” the light and dark sensing conditions, based on user inputs, and can then automatically adjust the sensitivity to place the operating threshold midway between threshold for the light and dark condition. By reducing the complexity and increasing the speed of teaching the mark and the background, the R58B Registration Mark Sensor reduces operator training and product change over time.
During the TEACH process, the R58B Series Registratio Mark Sensor automatically selects a red, green or blue LED to optimise the application contrast. The selected color is then indicated on the user interface, upon which the customer specified color can be set from push buttons or a PLC compatible remote input. This provides a streamlined process to enable more convenient sensor configuration and teaching.
The TEACH button can be temporarily deactivated by putting the sensor into RUN mode, or, all buttons can be locked out via the remote interface wire.
With optimal color contrast sensitivity and sensing performance, the R58B Series Expert Registration Mark Sensor offers registration repeatability and solid-state reliability for typical color contrasts through a range of features, including:
- capable of detecting 16 levels of gray scale
- ultra-fast 10 kHZ switching frequency (10,0000 actuations per second)
- smart gain-control algorithm maximises performance in low-contrast or high-gloss applications
- 11 status LED's indicate sensor configuration and currently selected emitter colour.
