Micromax presents a new range of hazardous area indicator lights from Banner Engineering designed for global applications.
Banner Engineering EZ-LIGHT K30L and K50L hazardous area indicator lights feature extensive ATEX and CSA approvals for safe use in every classified zone or area in North America and Europe; their IECEx approval means quicker authorisation for use in locations outside Europe and North America.
The K30L and K50L are also available in intrinsically safe (Ex ia), encapsulated (Ex mb/Ex ta) and non-sparking (Ex nA/Ex tc) models to accommodate diverse hazardous applications. The indicators also offer enhanced display flexibility, featuring five colours - green, red, yellow, blue or white - with up to three colours in one device. False indication is eliminated from ambient light with the indicator appearing gray when turned off.
Banner Engineering Chief Lighting Engineer Chuck Dolezalek explains that the new K30L and K50L indicator lights eliminate the challenge of lighted operator guidance in hazardous areas. The indicators’ capability to perform in virtually any hazardous environment worldwide, combined with Banner’s long-lasting LED technology allows customers to employ a reliable industrial lighting solution regardless of the application demands.
Design-wise, the K50L features Banner’s industry-recognised housing model, while the K30L provides a compact, 30mm diameter housing option for single-point applications. The IP67/IP69K indicator lights can reliably operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C.
