Leading weighbridge manufacturer Mettler Toledo
introduces a completely portable weighbridge designed for easy relocation.
Designed to be easily dismantled, transported and assembled from one location to another, the new portable weighbridges do not require the installation of concrete foundations or the use of large cranes.
Weighbridge relocation is often unavoidable due to the drying up of natural resources, environmental disasters and land availability. Mettler Toledo’s Industrial Business Unit Manager, John Beard explains that the process of transporting a weighbridge is costly and time consuming requiring the services of a specialist decommissioning team.
The new Mettler Toledo weighbridge has been developed to overcome the limitations of conventional weighbridge design by simplifying transportation during relocation.
The transportable weighbridge consists of a strong, lightweight othrotropic steel deck, which can be taken apart in under 60 minutes and packed on the back of a truck, transported and reassembled within hours by the company’s own staff members without the assistance of specialists or professionals.
Mettler Toledo Powercell PDX load cells have been provided to eliminate unplanned service costs by keeping the operator continuously informed about the weighbridge’s performance and alerting them to errors before they occur.
