The original Lokotrack range has now been complemented with a new, efficient jaw plant, the Lokotrack LT106.
Due to its new jaw crusher, the LT106 takes primary crushing capacity to a new level.
The global launch of the Lokotrack LT106 will be organised during the ConExpo exhibition in Las Vegas, USA, during March 11-15, 2007.
The new LT106 is built around the completely new Nordberg C106 jaw crusher, blending proven solutions with the new know-how.
The C106 provides up to 10% more crushing efficiency, due to the new cavity design, longer stroke and optimised rpm used.
The LT106, available from Metso Minerals, is the successor of the mobile jaw plant, the LT105. The original Lokotrack range now comprises over 30 basic models, from compact contractor models to sturdy quarrying units.
New crusher and jaw cavity design
The C106 jaw crusher features a new frame and pitman structure, minimising the stress levels within the machine and enabling maximum crushing forces.
The crusher cavity profiles are of a new design, allowing the easy optimisation of cavities for each application. Greater efficiency is also achieved with longer stroke and slower, optimised speed.
Bigger and heavier flywheels back the increased performance up by storing sufficient energy for each crushing cycle. Besides strength and performance ease of use and serviceability have been prioritised during the development
The crusher has a feed opening of 1,060 x 700 mm (28 x 42 in), providing a maximum feed size of 600 mm (24 in).
Environmentally friendly efficiency
The Lokotrack LT106 is powered by the efficient, 224 kW (300 hp) environmentally friendly CAT C9 diesel motor, meeting Tier 3 emission requirements.
Moreover, the user-friendly IC500 process automation system features complete automatic crushing process controls, single-button process start up and advanced fault diagnostics.
The LT106 can be fed by a conveyor, excavator or wheel loader, and according to the equipment used, a feed hopper size of 6 m³ (8yd³) or 9 m³ (12 yd³) can be selected.
The LT106 weighs 45,000 kg (99,200 lbs), and its transport width is 2,800 mm (9´ 2´´) and height 3,400 mm (11´ 1´´).
To ensure versatile operation, the LT106 can be equipped with a wide selection of optional equipment, including a longer, hydraulically folding discharge conveyor, radio remote controls, a magnetic separator and a high voltage generator.
The LT106S with a detachable screen
The sister model, the Lokotrack LT106S, also features a single-deck, detachable screen module, allowing the production of two aggregate grades in a single-stage crushing and screening process.
The detachable, one-deck screen module of the LT106S features a large screening area of 3.3 m² (4.3 yd²). Screen mesh sizes from 20 mm (3/4 in) to 80 mm (3 in) can be used.
The rotation direction of the screen can be turned according to need, to improve screening capacity or efficiency. For easy servicing and screen mesh changes, the screen module can be opened hydraulically, increasing the operational uptime.
