THE kajaaniMCA is a third generation microwave consistency transmitter from Metso Automation .
New electronics and redesigned mechanical construction make the device reliable, while the patented microwave measurement principle provides accuracy.
The new fork model, kajaaniMCA-F can be installed to the same mounting as Metso's shear force transmitters including valmetSP, SmartPulp and Pulp-El types. It shares the same light weight design as the kajaaniMCA-FT flow through transmitter which is available for pipe sizes up to 300mm.
Both models measure total consistency of the pulp process stream independent of fibre length, freeness, wood species or blend.
Unaffected by flow rate, brightness or colour, the new kajaaniMCA transmitters provide better control of furnish consistency resulting in few process upsets and offgrade products.
Easy installation, simple calibration and no regular maintenance lends the kajaaniMCA to measurement and control of consistency in pulp and paper.
