SBS Technologies has released its new Telum ASLP10 AdvancedMC, the first processor Advanced Mezzanine Card (AdvancedMC) with an Intel Pentium M processor in its Telum line of AdvancedMC products for Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA).
Available from Metromatics Pty Ltd , the Telum ASLP10 AdvancedMC is a high performance processor module and compliant with AMC.0, AMC.1 Type 8, AMC.2 Type E2 and AMC.3 Type S2 specifications.
The Telum ASLP10 is a single width, full height AdvancedMC processor board with integrated low power Intel Pentium M processor and dual Gigabit Ethernet channels.
This AdvancedMC processor module supports full hot swap capabilities and is designed for use in a broad range of applications such as wireless base stations, Voice over IP, test and measurement systems, media servers, base station controllers, and server blades applications.
The Telum ASLP10's unique feature set includes up to 2GB of 400MHz DDR2 SDRAM with ECC and a PCI Express 8X data port via the AdvancedMC connector.
This board is also available in an extended temperature version ranging from -40°C to +55°C for demanding applications in high temperature conditions.
The Telum ASLP10 also includes a Module Management Controller (MMC) supporting the card's Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) architecture. The MMC is responsible for power sequencing, hot swap capabilities and module management.
The Telum ASLP10 supports MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition and SUSE Linux CGL Edition operating systems specifically designed for robust, high availability applications like those required by the communications industry.
