PILLARHOUSE has introduced a new Jade S100, developed by Metromatics . Replacing the entry level Topaz system, the new Jade S100 is a hand load single point selective soldering machine, offering many of the benefits found in more advanced systems.

This machine has the capability to selectively solder PCBs up to 457 x 508mm.

Using a Drop Jet dual control fluxing system, the operator can select either a separate fluxing sequence prior to soldering or alternatively a simultaneous flux/solder operation.

Control of the new design 15 kg solder bath is by stepper motor in X, Y and Z axis. The system is fully lead free compatible and as with the company's more sophisticated in-line systems, the Jade benefits from using a nitrogen shroud around the universal 'AP-1' style solder nozzle.

Additional features include mechanical closed loop solder wave height control, revolutionary ease of programming through the proven 'Pillarcom' system and the ability for the machine to provide re-work capabilities if required.

Options include automatic solder wire feeding, flux level sensing and fume extraction.

Another revolutionary development of Pillarhouse is its optical inspection system. The Crystal I-100, I-200 and I-300 provide PCB handling at 305 x 305mm, 458 x305mm and 610 x 610mm respectively.

Based upon a sophisticated mathematical algorithm, the Crystal I series systems allow for fast and accurate inspection of THT soldered joints.
