Dewetron's two new galvanically isolated MULTI-Sensor measuring amplifiers with linearised analogue output have recently been introduced into the market and are now available from Metromatics .
The first of Dewetron's new galvanically isolated MULTI-Sensor Amplifiers is the DAQP-THERM module which connects to any thermocouple. This amplifier will support any thermocouple (although types K, J, T, R, S, N, E, B, L, C, and U are preset as defaults) and thanks to total flexibility due to a clever CJC design, high accuracy is guaranteed.
The second of Dewetron's new galvanically isolated MULTI-Sensor Amplifiers is the DAQP-MULTI, which measures additional voltage, Pt100 to Pt2000, constant current supplied bridges, and resistance. With the linearised analogue ±5 V or 0 to 5 V output, DAQP-MULTI modules are suitable for signal conditioning any input signal.
Together with 1 kV isolation and 160 dB CMR, the key features of the DAQP-MULTI measuring amplifier include high accuracy, a freely programmable measuring range, internal linearisation, programmable internal filters up to the 8th order, and a 3 kHz bandwidth.
Both the DAQP-THERM and DAQP-MULTI measuring amplifiers are particularly well suited for bench test applications where ruggedness and dynamics are required. In addition to the signal input, the sensor supply and TEDS lines are designed to be galvanically isolated.
This galvanic isolation combined with a very high CMR value of 160 dB, make it possible to use uninsulated thermocouples directly onto frequency converters, and deliver precise temperature measurements
In order to make optimum use of the dynamics of the measuring system, these measuring amplifier modules provide freely programmable measuring ranges, for example thermocouple type T with +20 °C to +85 °C or Pt1000 with -50 °C to +480 °C, etc.
The internal linearisation of Dewetron's new galvanically isolated MULTI-Sensor measuring amplifiers provides a universally usable ±5 V or 0 to 5 V output signal so that precise measured values are available, even where a measuring system or the input of a control unit has no possibility for software linearisation. Through an option in the DEWE-30 module rack, ±10 V or 0 to 10 V outputs can also be realised.
These measuring amplifier modules have integrated filters to guarantee signal quality of the highest level. Butterworth or Bessel filters are programmable in the 2nd, 4th, 6th, or 8th order.
With the flexible input, a range of different sensors can be connected, and due to the galvanic isolation and the high overvoltage protection, these measuring amplifiers are almost indestructible, which means a secure investment for many years to come.
