SBS Technologies has announced two highly integrated interface cards with optional extended temperature and conduction cooling for full function MIL-STD-1553B interface applications.
Engineered for airborne and ground based avionics applications, ruggedised test systems and high performance simulation systems, the 2-channel ASF/ABI-PMC2-2 PMC and four-channel ASF/ABI-cPCI2-4 Compact PCI cards, available from Metromatics , are fully compatible with special bus requirements such as the F-16 16PP194 and 16PP362 weapons MUX (WMUX) protocols.
Both interface cards offer 1553A or B interfaces, programmable bus controller (BC) frame lists, BC scheduling capabilities, remote terminal (RT) response tables, pointer driven transmit and receive buffers, mapped monitoring, 100 per cent independent sequential bus monitoring and extensive programmable event interrupts.
The ASF/ABI-PMC2-2 and ASF/ABI-cPCI2-4 are available in single function, full function and multi-RT variants, as well as extended temperature and conduction cooled versions.
Both products offer an optional IRIG-B timecode reader. The ASF/ABI-cPCI2-4 cards can be ordered with one, two, three or four channels.
The ASF/ABI-cPCI2-4 interface is compatible with current SBS hardware and software products. SBS includes a comprehensive set of libraries, including C libraries, drivers and example code with the card.
Full documentation is provided with all source code. Supported operating systems include Windows 9X, NT and 2000, Linux, VxWorks and Solaris.
