IN-SNEC recently released Model VME-BolP-8, which is a 6U VME Baseband over IP High Acquisition Board with 8 Channels that fits into a single slot.
The VME-BolP-8 features 8 analogue channels that can be used to digitise 8 real input signals or 4 complex input signals. Signals are digitised in base band up to a sampling frequency of 1MHz. They are processed (filtering/decimation), then gathered in pairs and finally transmitted to various clients on an Ethernet 100BaseT Link with TCP/IP protocol.
The VME-BolP-8 board also contains FPGA that generates the sampling frequency, receives the digitised flow and realises pre-processing such as filtering, datation and formatting the pairs of samples. The user interface for the board is easy thanks to the complete delivery of C source code drivers.
Applications for the VME-BolP-8 include Satellite Communications, Base Band Stations, Modems, Acquisitions one shot, multi trigger and continuous.
