Quicklabel Systems have released a new, higher-speed version of their Vivo! short-run digital colour label printer. The Vivo! now prints at a speed of 3 inches per second, a 50% increase in speed over the previous Vivo! model. The new Vivo! is available from Metromatics .
The Vivo! is an electro photographic digital label printing system that prints photo-quality colour labels on roll-fed label stock, allowing on-demand label printing with variable label content, including photos, graphics, and barcodes. The toner-based Vivo! allows manufacturers to quickly label their products according to sales orders.
The Vivo! serves as a powerful production tool as it makes short-run label printing fast and affordable. The number of labels the Vivo! can print per hour varies with label size, but a company with colour labels in the size 3”x 4” (76mm x 102mm) would be able to print 19,008 digital labels with variable content in a 8-hour shift/day . The Vivo! has also been modified to simplify the label re-loading process and to optimise media handling through the print engine.
