has released the Dytran Model 3316M1 high temperature accelerometer which features a charge mode element mounted hermetically sealed, miniature Inconel housing.
Weighing only 5g and measuring 9.8mm in height, the compact accelerometer can operate at temperatures up to +482°C and utilises the latest in planar shear technology.
It employ a ‘silver window’ on the top cover of the housing, which provides oxygen access to the crystal at high temperatures while maintaining the unit's hermetic sealing.
Offered with a sensitivity between 1 and 2 pC/g and with 10,000 Hz upper frequency response, the unit has a 10-32 tapped hole and 10-32 radical connector.
The accelerometer is suitable for high temperature environments, automotive vibration studies, exhaust system analysis, engine vibration studies and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).
