DataMetrics in partnership with Paperless Cockpit, has launched new Model 9100, a low-power, high-performance, computing module that is part of DataMetrics” TuffRider family of embedded computers and is one of the core components in Paperless Cockpit’s next-generation FliteServ C2 Airborne Information Server (Model FS-C2R05).
Designed for high-reliability airborne applications, the FliteServ C2 is equipped with ruggedised circular, aviation/military-grade connectors, an EMI protective aluminium enclosure, and integrated uninterruptible aircraft power supply supporting 12 to 30 VDC input.
The module’s diminutive 5.75” W x 1.75” H x 9.85” D footprint makes it ideal for integration into business and commercial aircraft where space is at premium.
The FliteServ C2 features a powerful Intel Pentium M 1.8 GHz or Core2 Duo processor, 1 GB DDR RAM, 60 GB hard drive, and integrated 802.11 b/g WiFi.
The rear-mounted aviation/military-grade connectors provide access to dual USB 2.0 ports, dual RS-232/RS-422 ports, Ethernet, two 12 VDC power outputs, and a dual VGA and LVDS display interface powered by a high-performance 2D/3D graphics accelerator.
A ruggedised, latching face plate delivers protected access to a front-mounted standard USB 2.0 port and power switch.
The FliteServ C2 also offers broad support of Windows and Linux operating systems, a variety of wired or wireless remote display devices, third party software, and integration into aircraft systems, such as GPS sources, SatCom devices, and real-time weather receivers.
