St John of God Hospital was established in 1915 and is the largest hospital in regional Victoria.

It provides an extensive range of health care services to residents in and around the Ballarat region, and is a division of St John of God Health Care, one of Australia’s largest health care providers.

St John of God Hospital chose Metalsistem Australia 's Super 1-2-3 longspan shelving to efficiently store medical supplies in a clean and sterile environment.

The standard Super 1-2-3 perforated plastic shelf and metal shelf dividers ensure efficient organisation of supplies. Considering the specific sterile requirements at St John of God, stainless steel shelving was initially suggested.

Plastic shelf panels were then offered as an alternative, as they are made from high quality polypropylene and well suited for this industry.

This option was very appealing from a budget perspective, allowing for the purchase of the shelf board dividers and other accessories from Metalsistem's range.

St John of God have since extended their storage facility and have opted to yet again use Metalsistem brand Super 1-2-3 shelving.
