The third edition of LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA will be held in September this year at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC), Bengaluru, India.
The use of laser and photonics technology is growing in diverse industrial applications in India, especially in the automotive sector, where new alternatives to traditional manufacturing processes are being identified.
One of the driving forces behind innovative high-power laser applications, the automotive sector has gained from the improved flexibility and ease of automation facilitated by laser.
According to Mr Mohammed Hidayath, National Sales Manager, TRUMPF India, the laser application industry in the automotive sector is valued at approximately INR 80 – 120 Crores in India with lasers helping to decrease manufacturing time, making the process six times faster than any conventional technology. In addition to the automotive sector, laser is also a major contributor in other industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, and food equipment among many others.
Laser technology helps any automobile manufacturing facility conform to stringent quality standards even while working in an environment of mass produced components.
Mr Bhupinder Singh, Deputy CEO – MMI India Pvt. Ltd explains that the LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA exhibition offers an ideal platform to showcase the significance of lasers and photonics and its varied applications in different industries.
The trade show will also host several conferences and seminars. The Automotive Component Manufacturing Association (ACMA) will also organise a seminar together with MMI India in Mumbai to provide in-depth information about the advantages of laser technology for automotive manufacturing and updates on the automotive industry.
The LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA trade show will be held 23-25 September 2014 in Bengaluru. MMI India is an affiliate company of Messe Munchen .
