The FRAX 150 sweep frequency response analyser is a completely self-contained instrument that has a built in integral PC and features a high-resolution colour screen with powerful backlight for easy viewing in all conditions.
The FRAX 150 operates by applying a sweep frequency test signal to the transformer and monitoring its response. A unique fingerprint is generated, which when compared with a reference fingerprint for the same transformer, reveals a wide range of faults.
Megger’s FRAX 150 uses powerful analysis and decision support software, which not only offers the traditional magnitude versus frequency/phase display, it also allows users to present data in an impedance or admittance versus frequency view.
The test frequency range covered by the FRAX 150 sweep frequency response analyser is 0.1 Hz to 25 MHz. Users are also able to set the range employed for individual tests to match the requirements of the application.
Up to 32,000 test points can be used for each frequency sweep with the FRAX 150 and the typical measurement time is 64 seconds, with a fast mode available that is capable of delivering results in as little as 37 seconds.
Meggers FLAX 150 sweep frequency response analyser is small and easy to carry with an operating temperature range of -20ºC to +50ºC.
