Leading sheetmetal specialist in Australia and New Zealand, Maxitec has joined forces with Prima Industrie group to bring leading-edge sheetmetal processing technology to the region under a new banner.
The recent Blechexpo2011 saw the first official global presentation of two leading specialists in laser and sheetmetal working technology, joining forces under the new banner Prima Power, since Prima Industrie acquired the Finn-Power Group back in 2008.
Managing Director of Maxitec, Mr Andrew Bentrup says the company has already made a significant impact on the Australian and NZ fabrication markets as a representative of Finn-Power and associated brands for many years.
With the added power of the new Prima Industrie Group, the foundations are set for more comprehensive supply/ partnership arrangements with local fabricators that are moving away from costly manual processes and into the more cost quantifiable domain of automated fabrication.
Mr Bentrup comments that small and large companies in the region are increasingly turning to automated sheetmetal processing to maintain competitiveness in the global market.
Listing the advantages of automated sheetmetal processing, he says that fabricators in Australia and NZ now genuinely recognise its cost-effectiveness over manual processing in addition to increased efficiency and the added value of re-deploying existing staff into more productive roles.
While sheetmetal processing equipment from Prima Power is state-of-the-art and highly technical, it also offers entry-level solutions for businesses.
Commenting on the first public exhibition of the new banner at the recent Stuttgart Blechexpo, Mr Gianfranco Carbonato, Chairman and Group CEO of the Prima Industrie Group described the coming together of the two companies as two great industrial traditions converging into one.
He added that users around the world can benefit from innovative and advanced technology that the company is committed to creating continuously.
