GASPARINI, represented in Australia by Advanced Sheetmetal Technologies , has released a compact press brake that provides speed, accuracy and safety when working with aluminium, mild steel or stainless steel. X-press 25 can handle sheet thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 4mm of mild steel and lengths up to 1250mm.
A laser beam safety system device provides adjustable height depending on the punch and provides maximum protection on all working areas. To realise boxes in stop and go mode, an auto-blanking function is provided.
In case of accidental collisions, a release system comes into play to safeguard the system, while projectors have a fast excursion to allow the insertion and side extraction of tooling.
It uses a Delem DA 63WP (Windows Panel) programmer with a numeric programming in display that is simple to operate and easy to read. It has 9,999 program steps, tooling storage (punch and die), a hand wheel for control of axes, and the option to file programs through a USB memory stick or serial connection.
It has a usable length of 1250mm, a maximum cylinder stroke of 150mm and a 1200mm distance between side frames. Positioning precision of the Y-axis is ±0.01mm, X-axis stroke is 300mm/350mm/400mm and speed is 500mm/s, R axis stroke is 150mm and speed 125mm/s, while the unit has an overall weight of 1770kg and operates on an approaching-work-return speed of 200mm/10mm/170mm/s.
It is supplied with a straight top tool at 26°, which allows most profiles to be achieved. A top tool at 60° is also available to achieve many U-profiles. A different type of gooseneck top tool at 85° or 60° is available for large U channels.
Other optional accessories include intermediate tool holders and additional back gauge fingers.
