A NEW, compact press brake developed by Gasparini provides the efficiency of speed, accuracy and safety when working with aluminium, mild steel or stainless steel.

X-press 25, distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Advanced Sheetmetal Technologies , can handle sheet thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 8mm, and lengths up to 1250mm.

A 'Laser Beam' safety system device provides adjustable height depending on the punch and provides maximum protection on all working areas. To realise boxes in 'stop and go' mode, an auto-blanking function is provided.

In case of collisions, a release system comes into play, while projectors have a fast excursion to allow the insertion and side extraction of tooling.

Using a Delem DA 61 programmer with a numeric programming in display that is simple to operate and easy to read, the Gasparini X-press 25 has 500 program steps, tooling storage (punch and die), a hand wheel for control of axes, and the option to file programs through a floppy disk or serial connection.

Standard accessories are a straight top tool h 145 with 26º angle r 0.8, and bottom tool h 80 with an angle of 60° and V-opening 12.

Technical characteristics include a usable length of 1250mm, maximum cylinder stroke of 150mm and a 1200mm distance between side frames.

Positioning precision of the Y axis is ±0.01mm, X axis stroke is 300/350/400mm and speed is 500mm/sec, R axis stroke is 150mm and speed 125mm/sec, while the unit has an overall weight of 1770kg and operates on an approaching-work-return speed of 150/10/170mm/sec.

Optional accessories include intermediate tool holders, pneumatic self aligning clamps, additional back gauge fingers, and a gooseneck top tool angle 85° - r 0.8/2.

Supplied as a standard is a straight top tool at 26°, which allows most profiles to be achieved. However, also available is a top tool at 60° to achieve many U-profiles, as well as a gooseneck top tool at 85° for specifically big U channels.
