Darryl Ham has joined Matthews Intelligent Identification as a laser specialist and sales engineer.
The dual role sees Darryl specialising in laser equipment in NSW and Queensland, plus dealing with Matthews’ entire coding and labelling range in a NSW territory.
Darryl has previously held similar roles, representing a variety of marking and coding technologies, including CIJ, DOD, label printers and applicators and thermal transfer printers.
Darryl has also gravitated towards specialising in laser technology in the past seven years, with extensive overseas training. It is an area where the applications and delivery are evolving relatively quickly, making it an interesting, and increasingly useful, tool.
After an apprenticeship as an electrical fitter mechanic, Darryl moved into field service, then sales roles.
According to Darryl, a good technical background is invaluable in this industry. He is hands on, and like to demonstrate that the concept can do more than just apply a code. This jells with Matthews’ philosophies of integration and achieving more for the customer than mere compliance. Matthews are market leaders and so innovative in this industry; Darryl is looking forward to working with such a highly technical team of professionals.”
