At Auspack 2009, Matthews Intelligent Identification will display their entire range of products, with all equipment linked to their iDSnet integration and traceability software.
Matthews will demonstrate how an entire packaging production line can be simply networked to a central production database, delivering significant benefits to manufacturers, including:
- Faster product changeovers
- Eliminating coding errors
- Vision system quality control
- Production reporting in real time
- Waste and efficiency reporting
- Remote technical support diagnostics
In addition to the range of coding and labelling solutions, Matthews Intelligent Identification will also focus on customer and technical support at Auspack 2009. With short technical response times and high ‘first-time-fix’ rates, manufacturing customers can experience production efficiencies.
In addition to traceability solutions, Matthews Intelligent Identification also have technically advanced electronic job-despatch and recording system: Matthews Service Management System [SMS]. Every technical service request is electronically logged, based on current estimated completion times of other open jobs and then dispatched to the next available service engineer through a broad-band, hand-held terminal.
Before Matthews Intelligent Identification’s technicians arrive on site, they have been able to view the fault condition, look at recent service history and be made fully aware of any particular site OH&S requirements. All parts and labour used on the job are recorded on the terminal, the customer signs the terminal screen and a service report is emailed to the client within an hour.
First-time fix rates of over 97% mean that when a technician from Matthews Intelligent Identification leaves a site, the client’s production line is back in full operation and coding equipment is running efficiently. Matthews Intelligent Identification achieve this high rate of fault diagnosis and rectification in a number of ways: continually trained and experienced staff, escalation procedures for extra support if it is required and service vehicles that are continuously replenished with all the required spare parts they need.
Matthews Intelligent Identification have launched many new products at Auspack expo that includes RFID labelling equipment back in 2001, through to fibre YAG laser coders, which were awarded ‘Best New Product’ at Auspack 2007.
