Matthews Intelligent Identification was presented with an appreciation award by Solaris Laser during the latter’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Matthews has represented Solaris Laser in Australia since 2002.
According to Lester Nichol, Matthews CEO, the company has enjoyed a long-term relationship with Solaris. Having held the exclusive distribution agreement with Linx Printing Technologies Ltd to distribute its inkjet and thermal product range throughout Australia since 1988, Matthews knew the value of having an R&D-based equipment manufacturer.
Wanting to add laser technology to their range of coding and labelling solutions, Matthews Intelligent Identification signed on with Solaris in August 2002.
Solaris’ laser coding technology met Matthews’ key search criteria of print performance, print quality, strong reference lists and extensive technical credentials.
Solaris’s strengths include a huge installed base of systems worldwide, and an extensive range of lasers for use in high quality marking applications such as cosmetics and pharmaceutical packaging, directly onto glass bottles at very high speeds, and beverage and packaging material marking, including paper, inked cardboard, foils, plastics, wood, glass and coated metals among others.
