Vaccuum Handling Devices, Vaculex Vacuum Tube Lifters, OKTOPUS

Vacuum Handling
Vacuum Handling Devices are the solution, efficient, low cost and non marking handling of many products during manufacture, storage and transport. They also assist you to work more safely.

Vaculex Vacuum Tube Lifters
Vaculex Vacuum Tube Lifters make virtually any object up to 200kg feel almost weightless. You lift, move and lower the object in a single fluid action that follows the movements of your own body using only your finger for control.

This means that your work is easier, more efficient and more enjoyable, and the risk of repetitive strain injuries is decreased. Vaculex Vacuum Tube Lifters do both the attachment and the lifting tasks with one unit.

They are suitable to lift the following:
  • Boards, Sheet and Cartons
  • Bag, Blocks, Glass and Drums
  • Coils, Beams and Timber
  • Other unusual products including some semi porous products
Conventional Vacuum Lift Devices
Conventional Vacuum Lift Devices are normally self contained/powered frames with various suction cups arranged to lift the nominated product. They are normally suspended from a hoist or crane, as they do no lifting themselves. They have capacities up to 10,000kg.

Materials Handling also have two product specific Vacuum Lifting Devices. One is for Vacuum Plate Glass Handling and the other for Vacuum Building Panel Handling.

OKTOPUS Plate Glass and Building Panel Handling

With increases in the size and weight of composite building panels, glass windows, plates, facades and stricter health and safety guidelines, it is becoming increasingly difficult for personnel to safely manually lift them. There is also the need for quick construction methods and fast track build programs.

Materials Handling are able to offer a range of machines with capacities up to 1,250kg, for the following installations:
  • Cladding and Ceiling
  • Safe building panel and Plate glass handling during facia
These vacuum technology, handling devices can be supplied crane suspended, forklift mounted or tele handler mounted.

All Oktopus handling devices are supplied with current certification for testing to Australian lifting regulations. All Oktopus handling devices have DUAL vacuum powered suction frames, for maximum safety on building sites.

Oktopus Vacuum Handling and Lifting Devices can be used for most facades, composite panels and glass plates being suitable for vertical, horizontal and ceiling installations.

Advantages of using Vacuum Handling and Lifting Devices from Materials Handling
  • Smaller installation teams
  • Increased working safety
