Basic IBC discharge stations from Matcon IBC are designed to discharge the company's cone valve intermediate bulk containers when used for flowable solids such as powders and granules.
They incorporate a powerful lifting probe which engages and locks to the cone valve in the IBC, allowing for mass flow discharge. The lift height of this probe can be varied to suit the flow characteristics of the material being processed, and the desired discharge rate.
Matcon's basic IBC discharge stations can be controlled in a number of ways to automatically dose material contents to a process below, and also feature a lip seal which provides a sealed connection between the outlet of the IBC and the discharge station during material discharge.
All working components are fully sealed behind an air tight flexible cover, ensuring cleaning is easy while remaining thorough.
Cleaning can be carried out off place by removing the central hopper and washing manually in a suitable location. Alternatively, Cleaning In Place (CIP) may be used to automatically wash the material contact surfaces without hopper removal.
