After suffering through issues associated with cable degradation, the end user outlined their requirement for a robust cable construction and Maser was quick to identify a steel wire armoured cable solution that would provide the necessary mechanical protection.
“The Australian market has become accustomed to steel wire armoured cables being available locally for instrumentation, power and control applications” says Greg Terry, Maser Projects and Contracts Manager. “When it comes to requirements outside this common group, the market perception is that solutions are only available on long lead-times or with excessive MOQ’s. This is not the case at all and in many instances Maser are supplying as little as 305 metres within 2 weeks for common protocols including Category 5e, Category 6 and RS-485, right through to industrial protocols like Fieldbus, Profibus and Devicenet”
