Martor offers the Optisafe safety knife. The mechanism within the Optisafe will automatically return the blade safely into the knife at the end of each cut even if the user leaves the hand on the blade push mechanism.
Typically, user of safety knives with spring loaded blade return needed to be trained to release the blade push during the cut in order to enable the blade to return safely into the knife at the end of the cut.
If the user does not release the blade push the knife will revert into a fixed blade cutter, which is not safe.
The Optisafe comes with a blade push that can be used by both right and left handed operators. The blade retracts instantly at the end of a cut and/or upon an accidental slip. The Optisafe safety cutter has installed a number 45 blade which has four corners giving the user good blade life.
The Optisafe has an ergonomically-styled plastic handle with a metal wear-protector at the blade outlet.
The Optisafe has an easy blade change with no extra tools required. This safety cutter like all the safety cutters in the Martor range has been GS-Tested For Safety by the German Safety Control Board TÜV.
