A range of safety knives made from a new metal-detect responding material will be a feature of Martor Australia's stand at the Safety in Action exhibition in May.
The metal detectable knives are a new product developed with the food industry in mind.
Metal detection units of a production line easily spot the knives, identified by their bright blue components.
Depending on the level of the metal detect system, even small fragments of new cutters will not escape undetected.
Martor prides itself on the safety features of its knives. The blades of most Martor safety cutters are spring-loaded to instantly retract into the handle when blade edge contact is lost.
Along with its huge range of knives and cutters, Martor will be featuring other safety materials, including anti-fatigue and safety matting, oxygen multi-purpose eye mist and safety glasses, safety gloves and supports.
There will be regular demonstrations of its 'smart' retractable knives, and as an added bonus, anyone placing an order at the show will receive a free knife belt.
