RAPP-IT, represented by Marine & Industrial Marketing , has released a new smaller-sized pipe repair bandage, measuring 50mm x 1.5m, suitable for repairing smaller pipes measuring up to 40mm in diameter.
For larger pipes, Rapp-it has a range of four larger sizes.
Rapp-it's ability to perform effectively in emergency situations greatly reduces costly downtime and production loss, and because of the product's ease of use, it can be applied by practically any apprentice applicator.
Rapp-it pipe repair bandage is a quick action emergency repair system that is simple to use with no mixing or measuring required. Simply immerse the bandage in water for 10 seconds, then apply by wrapping around the damaged pipe area. A successful repair can be achieved in 30 minutes.
Rapp-it is a roll of fibreglass bandage impregnated with a water-activated polyurethane resin. Each bandage comes with a 50mm stick of steel putty, which can be pushed into holes or cracks before applying the bandage, resulting in an even more secure repair.
The bandages can withstand heat up to 150°C, pressure up to 150psi, and most diluted chemicals and fuels. They are also approved for use with potable water.
