The Manhattan SCALE product suite from supply chain commerce solutions provider Manhattan Associates was deployed for eStore Logistics at its warehouse in Laverton North, Victoria.
The solution deployment is a key milestone for eStore, a leading Australian third party logistics services provider (3PL) as it will enable the company to strengthen brand loyalty by further improving service levels and allow the company to accelerate growth.
According to eStore Logistics founder and CEO Leigh Williams, as online growth and omni-channel continue to drive innovation and new options for consumers, retailers are placing greater importance on the fulfilment side of their operations and the role it plays in improving customer satisfaction. Where retailers directed more attention a few years ago to web design, store layout, merchandising and front end systems, today their commerce strategies are increasingly focused around seamless order execution and the supporting fulfilment processes.
Williams explains that Manhattan’s supply chain commerce technology will help eStore Logistics drive margin enhancement for their customers by enabling a more efficient logistics operation. It will also help their customers drive improvements in revenue and profitability through the delivery of higher service levels to the end consumer.
eStore Logistics chose Manhattan SCALE because it wanted a proven supply chain commerce solution that was scalable and could support the company’s rapid and continued growth. In addition, it wanted a solution that could be easily integrated with other business and client systems and had the breadth and depth of functionality needed to meet customers’ evolving needs.
Since the deployment of Manhattan SCALE, eStore Logistics has experienced a number of benefits across its operations including improved inventory management and control, increased visibility of available space in the warehouse, and the ability to handle more complex wave flows, allowing more efficient management of the diverse outbound handling processes associated with different client/stock/order profiles.
Manhattan SCALE has also facilitated an easier and faster integration of new eStore Logistics clients, provided the capability to run multiple sites, enabled a more streamlined billing process, and afforded a reduction in IT and administration personnel costs whilst supporting increased inbound and outbound volumes.
One element of Manhattan SCALE that is contributing to eStore customers’ ability to fulfil orders more cost effectively is the product’s unique 3D cubing functionality, which eliminates the requirement for users to manually select packaging types for each order and recommends the smallest possible packaging to minimise shipping costs.
Commenting on the implementation, Raghav Sibal, managing director, Australia and New Zealand, Manhattan Associates said they are delighted that eStore Logistics is reaping the benefits of the SCALE solution and pleased to see the service improvements that are helping build brand loyalty, increase revenue and drive profitability.
Manhattan SCALE is a portfolio of distribution management and transportation management solutions, built on Microsoft .NET technology, and designed to be rapidly implemented and deployed to meet the needs of industries such as third-party logistics providers, food and beverage distributors, and consumer packaged goods companies.
