WineWorks of New Zealand has implemented the supply chain commerce solution from Manhattan Associates at its warehouses in Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay.
WineWorks, a New Zealand company offering wine bottling services to the country’s leading wineries implemented the latest version of the Manhattan SCALE product suite in its warehouses, with the solution deployment already helping the company accommodate increased customer demand and build on brand loyalty by further improving the service experience for customers.
The next phase of the project will see the Manhattan solution deployed at WineWorks’ newest facility in Auckland, which officially opened early this year.
According to Mike Brasch, Group Systems Manager at WineWorks, as one of the country’s most certified and trusted wine bottlers, it is imperative that WineWorks operates world-leading technology and facilities and employs industry experts to meet the specific and highly specialised needs of customers. The SCALE solution deployment has ensured the company has a supply chain platform capable of meeting their customers’ increasingly demanding distribution needs as well as supporting future growth.
Brasch explains that as a specialist third-party logistics services provider (3PL) with more than 250 customers holding over 15,000 active product lines across the company’s two warehouses, it is essential for WineWorks to offer their customers complete visibility and control of their inventory at all times. On average, these warehouses dispatch over 18,000 cases daily.
Manhattan SCALE provides a visual representation of order progressions, allowing customers to see exactly where an order is in the production process and enabling them to comply with New Zealand custom regulations on product traceability and production history.
Manhattan SCALE’s Trading Partner Management module is the critical piece of functionality that allows customers to view real-time reports on the status of their inventory and orders within the warehouse and as goods make their way to and from the warehouse. It also gives customers the ability to place orders online and has significantly improved the time it takes to place and process orders.
With Manhattan SCALE, WineWorks has not only been able to continue growing and perpetually raise the bar on the service levels it provides to customers, it has also improved the profitability and performance of its business operations.
