Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, and SkyWire, a leading systems integrator, were awarded the 2006 APAC Partner Ecosystem Award by Symbol Technologies.
The award, presented in Malaysia at the Symbol APAC Partner Conference, recognised the innovative solution developed by two or more members of Symbol’s PartnerSelect Programme for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
Manhattan Associates and SkyWire were recognised for their strong partnership during the implementation of Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) with Symbol mobile computers at a new Distribution Centre (DC) for Magna Pacific in Brisbane, Australia.
Magna Pacific, a large independent DVD distributor in Australia and New Zealand, selected Manhattan Associates’ Integrated Logistics Solutions 2006, built on Microsoft.net to manage the new DC, combining the solution with Symbol MC3090-G mobile computers and wireless enablers from SkyWire to ensure optimal worker productivity in the warehouse.
Working to a tight deadline, Magna Pacific needed to have SkyWire and Manhattan Associates deliver systems that worked smoothly together. What surprised Magna Pacific was how well these two companies worked together. Working with SkyWire and Manhattan Associates was like working with a single company.
The panel of judges awarding the prize was composed of industry experts from some of the region’s leading organisations, including Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, Microsoft Corporation and Questex Asia.
Evaluation of the Manhattan Associates and SkyWire implementation was based on the solution’s ability to solve the customer’s critical business challenges by capturing information, moving it to the point where it had a great impact, and managing it with efficiency and security, all in real time.
