Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management solution achieves Powered by SAP NetWeaver status

Manhattan Associates  has announced that its warehouse management solution has achieved Powered by SAP NetWeaver status.

This certification highlights Manhattan Associates’ commitment to providing a full suite of integrated supply chain solutions, allowing customers using SAP solutions to integrate distribution business processes seamlessly and with less risk within their corporate landscape.

The SAP Integration and Certification Centre (SAP ICC) has certified that the Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management 2007 solution properly integrates with the SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver XI) 3.0 component to exchange critical data with instances of the SAP Business Suite family of applications and is integrated successfully with SAP NetWeaver Portal 6.0.

Manhattan Associates utilises the SAP NetWeaver platform to run integration scenarios between the two solutions, thereby incorporating the preferred integration platform from SAP and eliminating the added time and expense associated with custom integrations.

“It is a top priority for Manhattan Associates to seamlessly integrate our solutions with existing platforms to provide optimum benefits for our customers,” said Eddie Capel, senior vice president of product management and support, Manhattan Associates.

”Providing an integrated solution that is validated by this SAP certification reduces risks for our customers, while also significantly lowering implementation and ongoing maintenance costs,” Eddie Capel said.

Manhattan Associates also achieved certification for enabling warehouse management content within the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal. Supply chain managers now have centralised, real-time visibility to the performance of a distribution facility and its key metrics, allowing them to make decisions on the fly and allocate resources appropriately to streamline the fulfilment process.

Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management solution complements the SAP Business Suite by providing a feature-rich warehouse planning and execution system that allows customers to effectively execute supply chain processes while providing all relevant feedback to the SAP ERP application that manages the overall business.

Cross-component business processes are executed between SAP applications and Manhattan Associates modules in real-time, where integrated warehouse management interacts with the sales and distribution and materials management applications of the SAP solution.

The Manhattan Associates’ solution used together with SAP solutions allows enterprises to manage advanced Supply Chain scenarios with the necessary scalability and performance that is essential for a growing business.

The SAP NetWeaver platform powers the SAP Business Suite, SAP xApps packaged composite applications and solutions such as Warehouse Management from Manhattan Associates.
