Magnum Australia / Watermark USA, LLC will display and officially launch Storm track driven water cannon at Minexpo, Las Vegas on the Watermark USA - Stand # 961 in the Australian pavilion.
The Storm track driven water cannon now brings the pressurised water supply to the intended area of operation in a safe, efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly manner.
Noted direct applications of use include Stockpile dust control, conveyor cleaning, fire protection, fire fighting, hazardous spill cleanup and maintenance, heavy equipment / dragline / shovel / crusher wash down, dam liner cleaning, boiler cleaning, magnetite pit slurrying, underground hangup removal, hydraulic mining etc.
A heavy duty steel frame is mounted to the hydraulic track driven undercarriage offering strong torque and operating gradeability. The overall rubber tracked footprint minimises the load bearing impact whilst maintaining good traction despite the terrain.
The hydraulic circuitry has been custom designed to guarantee reliability, simplicity, operating efficiency and a compact physical overall size.
All of the operational hardware, along with the drive coupled 9.5HP Kubota diesel engine is safely encased inside a powder coated steel galvanised enclosure. The enclosure has easy open latching ports for daily fluid inspection and the secure 4-latch release mechanism allows full access for major servicing.
A secondary cabinet allows for secure carrying and storage of the typical work tools and optional water cannon attachments. This cabinet is lockable for guaranteed security.
The system is totally Radio Frequency (R.F.) controlled, with the standard system offering a twin joystick control. One joystick operates the directional steering of the tracks and the second independently operates the movement of the Magnum hydraulic remote water cannon.
The Magnum Water Cannon has heavy duty swivel bearing, which is designed specifically for continuous use in the mining environment.
The unit uses Stortz quick change couplers to allow the operator to easily select from the Magnum Straight Stream Director nozzle or quickly connect the fully hydraulic remote control stainless steel 3% self induction fog to jet nozzle. The nozzle offers incremental operator control of fog spray pattern via the R.F. Controller.
Added features include the fitment of a hydraulic hose reel to carry and rewind the supply hose before and after use.
The entire operation of winding and unwinding the hose is mechanical to protect the operator from any heavy lifting injury. When the job is finished, the hose is effortlessly rewound and safely locked to the reel for easy storage and transporting.
An R.F. infrared camera is also fitted to assist with visual site operation in obscured working areas. LED work lights and an LED safety strobe also ensure the unit is easy to sight at all times of operation.
The unit is easily custom speed controlled. The operator simply adjusts the engine RPM via the R.F. controlled throttle switch to change up from a slow idle to full engine revs. The Storm track driven water cannon is now shifted from a slow crawl to a fast walking speed of 5kph (3.3mph).
A robust custom designed galvanised trailer complete with load ramps, drop down legs, retractable draw bar, hydraulic brakes and LED lighting is also offered as part of the total package to permit easy transportation around the site when preferring to tow it using a standard vehicle. The unit totals 650kg (1,400lbs).
