Madison Technologies introduces a new weatherproof thermographic PoE camera that expands its capabilities to reliably detect people and cars in complete darkness.
Based on the proven M15 modular platform, the new M15D-Thermal from MOBOTIX can be combined with existing sensors and the analysis capabilities of the camera software (MxActivitySensor, video motion detection, event logic etc.), to offer brand new application options. The modular design of the M15D system platform ensures maximum flexibility for the MOBOTIX thermographic cameras.
Supplied standard with a thermal image sensor and a dummy module (to remain weatherproof to IP66), the M15D-Thermal can be used with any MOBOTIX sensor modules (5 MP, colour or black and white, telephoto to hemispheric, with or without long-pass filter/LPF) for identification, with the camera software activating the dual image display on one of the two image sensors (thermal or standard) or both simultaneously. The thermal sensor can be used in applications such as border protection, viewing the sea in coastal areas, or recognising ships in hazy conditions.
Key features of M15D-Thermal weatherproof IP thermographic cameras include thermal sensor of typically 50 mK capable of detecting in complete darkness, through smoke, smog, or a thin plastic film; temperature measuring range of -40°C to +550°C; MxActivitySensor for extremely reliable video analysis results of person/vehicle movements by blocking out disruptive factors including cold objects such as bushes, grass, water, clouds or waves; no glare from strong sources of light such as headlights or handheld lamps; detection of hotter than average body parts or technical devices, detection of faults in photovoltaic systems, overheated machine bearings etc.; low camera power consumption of max. 5.5W; and thermal image sensor configured using camera software in a web browser.
The M15D-Thermal camera is available in three different versions: MX-M15D-Thermal-L43 with a horizontal image angle of 45°; MX-M15D-Thermal-L65 with a horizontal image angle of 25°; and MX-M15D-Thermal-L135 with a horizontal image angle of 17°.
