Madison Technologies  introduces a new line of Ethernet terminal servers designed for Smart Grid initiatives and SCADA applications.

The new GarrettCom Magnum 10ETS Ethernet terminal servers provide up to 8 Ethernet ports or up to 32 serial ports for protection, SCADA devices and IRIG-B time coding.

Suitable for large substation installations with a large number of serial instruments, the Magnum 10ETS terminal servers provide the bandwidth, timing, precision and hardening required for optimisation of Smart Grid initiatives in substation environments.

Offering high port density with flexible configurability and hot-swap power, the Magnum 10ETS terminal servers provide the connectivity necessary in today’s more complex substations, reducing the potential points of failure in substation communications systems.

Key features of Magnum 10ETS Ethernet terminal servers:

  • IEC 61850-compatible networking device with the hardening required for substation applications
  • Dual hot-swappable power supply and built-in firewall
  • Provides reliability, security and port configurability
  • Allows large operations to be integrated into the Smart Grid systems to meet security requirements mandated by NERC/CIP
