MYOB Australia  have launched an exciting new initiative that throws back the covers on new business ownership, and gives prospective start-ups, a view of a start-up Aussie business. Training Wheels, a new blog on myBRC.com.au, chronicles the first 12 months’ operation of a brand new business.

The early days can be scary as users wobble along the road to business success, which is why it is reassuring to have the Training Wheels. The business featured in Training Wheels is Indian Giver, a Melbourne-based online designer clothing hirer established in March 2009 by business partners Stevie Dellamarta and Ron Anderson.

Stevie Dellamarta and Ron Anderson document the highs, lows and in-betweens of getting their new business off the ground through regular blog posts and video diary updates that give a visual insight into the behind-the-scenes action. Training Wheels aims to address the isolation experienced by many small business owners, particularly those just starting out and wondering where to begin and if their challenges are ‘normal’. According to Tim Reed, CEO, MYOB Australia, everyone can now celebrate the milestones, share the frustrations and interact with the duo every step of the way as they get the business rolling. Those contemplating starting a new business can watch and learn from Stevie and Ron’s ideas, challenges and mistakes and exchange comments to ask questions or offer support. Existing business owners can also follow the adventure, reminisce about similar experiences and offer advice through the comments.
