MSSA Interweld has released a range of diffusion bonding weld spray powders. The powders are atomised to ensure nonporous, homogenous weld deposits. The powders are triple-screened to eliminate fines and reduce overspray.
Weldspray WS 120 is a soft, machineable, corrosion-resistant alloy for applications such as cast iron cylinder heads, engine blocks, manifolds, pump housings, keyways, gear teeth and splines. It has a hardness rating of 15-20Rc.
Weldspray 130 has similar corrosion properties to 316 stainless-steel. It is designed for use with steels, nickel alloys and cast iron as a harder overlay on a seal coat of WS120. It has a hardness rating of 28-30Rc.
Weldspray 150 is applied for wear and corrosion-resistance in applications like gate valve seats, mixer paddles, valve seats, diesel camshaft lobes, plungers and dies. It offers good metal to metal wear without galling. It has a hardness rating of 50-53Rc.
WS 151 is a 60% tungsten carbide chrome alloy that is very abrasion-resistant. Applications include fan blades, tillage tools, drill bits, lawn mower blades, and components for sand, gravel, cement and brick making. All of the powders are available in package sizes starting from 1kg, 2.5kg and 5kg bottles.
