UK-based ready meals producer, Wok Express, turned to Packaging Automation when expansion of the business created demand for more tray sealing equipment.
Wok Express needed a machine which could cope with up to 600 portions each hour - something the PA182 could easily achieve. The PA182 is just one of Packaging Automation's extensive range of tray sealing equipment, distributed in Australia by MPI .
The PA182 is a well-proven, semi-automatic, twin station machine designed to be flexible by allowing tray size changeovers in just two minutes. It can seal and trim film from a reel onto trays of various materials including but not limited to CPET, polypropylene, PVC, board and foil.
And the machine's compact design minimises the space required allowing it to be easily moved to accommodate changes in production, for example, from one production line to another.
Add operational efficiency to the mix, along with flexibility and ease of maintenance, together with the ability to handle both atmospheric and modified atmosphere packaging, and it is not difficult to see why the machine continues to score highly.
Packaging Automation's sales manager Neil Ashton said the contract struck with Wok Express was one of a number which the company has won because of its flexibility, willingness to work alongside customers to meet their exact requirements, and a readiness to hire out its machines.
Packaging Automation UK Ltd was established in 1963 and is the UK's leading manufacturer of tray sealing machinery for the food industry. In 2004, the company signed an exclusive distribution agreement with MPI for the distribution of the full Packaging Automation range of equipment in Australia.
