Packaging Automation, represented by MPI Australia , have been manufacturing tray sealing equipment for the British food industry. It was the speed of response which helped Packaging Automation to secure an order from prominent ready meal manufacturer Headland Foods.
Cheshire based Packaging Automation have supplied, Vision 400 tray sealer with tooling and conveying equipment to Headland's Flint site in the UK, where it is packing a line of ready meals for the airline sector.
Headland's site director at Flint, John Picot stated that, when they won new business they needed a tray sealing machine. Through Packaging Automation and their machines, they were able to respond to the needs very quickly. This in turn helped them to meet the needs of our customer.
The Vision 400 is a fully automatic, high speed tray sealer with easy to use touch screen and menu driven operation. It offers atmospheric, MAP-F, MAP-V and high oxygen flushing, making it suitable for a wide range of meat, poultry, vegetables and convenience foods.
The Vision 400 can seal plain or printed film to CPET, APET, aluminium foil, polypropylene, PVC and board. With a maximum speed of 21 cycles per minute, the Vision 400 combines flexibility, simplicity and is in use throughout the food industry. The customers are impressed by its compact dimensions, two minute tooling changes and advanced control systems.
Picot also said that the machine is working well and is doing exactly what is required. The speed of PA's response was a key factor.
Packaging Automation's sales engineer responsible for the Headland project, Andy Beeley, stated that the speed of response can be vital in winning new business.
