PACKAGING Automation Ltd, the UK leader in the design and manufacture of tray sealing and filling equipment, has launched its latest machine - a low cost, high quality addition to its line up, the Fastfill 40. Packaging Automation's equipment is distributed in Australia by MPI Australia .
The Fastfill 40 container filling and sealing machine has been developed as part of the company's volumetric range and Packaging Automation Ltd is confident it will generate a lot of interest.
Operating at up to 40 packs per minute, subject to product type, the compact Fastfill 40 is targeted at producers within the convenience sector and offers a host of benefits to anyone producing drinks, yogurts, cream, sauces, dips, dressings, liquid desserts and similar products.
Fastfill 40 will seal pre-cut lids as well as film from roll stock material, and a date coder can be accommodated for both. Through the use of stainless steel and easy to remove parts, cleanability has been built in to allow the strictest hygiene standards to be maintained. As with all Packaging Automation Ltd machines, it is easy to use, so minimal operator training is required.
Flexibility is another key design feature - as well as liquid foods the Fastfill 40 can also be used with dry products such as cereals, nuts and confectionery. Different sized pots can be easily handled as it has quick release locator segments.
As well as outright purchase, the Fastfill 40 is also available to hire. This option gives customers added flexibility and is a great benefit to anyone who needs to add production capacity in the short term to meet seasonal demand, or to test the success of new product lines before committing to purchase. And whether hiring or buying, customers will receive Packaging Automation Ltd's support service, available 24 hours a day, throughout the year.
Packaging Automation Ltd sales engineer, Mark Leaning, who is responsible for developing the filling and sealing side of the company's business, sees enormous potential for the latest machine.
"Although the Fastfill 40 will be formally launched at the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) show in the UK, we have already seen considerable interest from potential customers who have been impressed by the machine's capabilities," said Mr Leaning. "In fact, we are delighted to have received our first order for the machine already."
"It is the perfect choice for those who want to do small batch runs, or who have lower volume production needs. We were keen to be able to offer these producers the option of a machine that is suited to their requirements. And the hire option is bound to add to its popularity," he said.
