Due to business expansion and growth in recent months, Fox Hay Timber required a more accessible system for the storage of, and supply chain picking for stock items for their clients.
Bruce Fox the Director of Fox Hay Timber, approached MECA Racking Solutions to design a new system that would provide more space and an easy drive- through picking warehouse function. With over 10 years of experience in providing the Australian market with quality racking warehouse options, MECA Racking Solutions were able to offer a cost effective solution to Fox Hay Timber and have the installation completed on time and to the budget.
MECA Racking Solutions provided 25% more space within the warehouse with a 200 square meter mezzanine floor and pigeon hole racking to provide easy picking and more protection from stock damages.
The storage of timber stock and building supplies requires storage options that can protect the stock from environmental and handling damages, and the new storage system is able to accommodate less handling of the stock, a more organised warehouse function, more space overall, and has been able to increase the service capabilities of Fox Hay Timber. The new system has also provided safety benefits and better traffic management within the warehouse.
