WJB Engineering  recently installed seven self cleaning grate magnets for a major Sydney-based cereal manufacturer for the removal of fine magnetic fragments in the production system.  

WJB supplied MAGNATTACK self cleaning grate magnet systems for the food manufacturing company to reduce risk of metal contamination.  

The high intensity, pneumatic fully automatic self cleaning grate magnets are designed for the removal of fine, weakly magnetic fragments. A key advantage is their ability to clean without relying on operators.  

Self cleaning grate magnets raise the food safety levels because the grate magnet bars need not be contacted or touched for cleaning.  

Self cleaning housings will generally fit in place of existing manually cleaned grate magnets. Self cleaning grate magnets are also available as self cleaning single or twin bar magnets.  

Self cleaning magnets are becoming the preferred option in magnetic protection in the food industry as they lower the risk of metal contamination caused by operator failure to clean, and reduce man hour costs involved in the time-consuming task of cleaning magnets.  

WJB Engineering has recently supplied their MAGNATTACK self cleaning magnets to a major grain port in South Australia with over 500 TPH of throughput capability.  

Other recent installations of the new self cleaning magnet systems include a major brewery in Tasmania and rice manufacturing facilities in the Riverina area. WJB Engineering has also supplied the self cleaning grate system to a major oats manufacturer in Western Australia.
